Thousands of People Supported by Syrian Army Leaving Eastern Aleppo
Syrian Television broadcast pictures on Tuesday showing large numbers of residents leaving eastern Aleppo after the Syrian army troops retook control of most neighborhoods in the city.
The UN humanitarian aid agency says its partners in Syria have recorded about 37000 people who have left eastern Aleppo amid the latest advance of pro-government forces, but that thousands of others have not been counted.
According to the footage, the Syrian army troops can be seen among people, helping civilians to leave the war-torn city.
