Train derails in southwest Iran with no casualties
Dezful, Khuzestan Province, July 14, IRNA � One carriage of a Khorramshahr-Tehran passenger train derailed at Shush Station in this southwestern province on Friday with no one being hurt.
The incident which occurred at the railway switch at Shush Station blocked the Andimeshk-Shush-Ahvaz railway.
Repair operation to open the railway has begun, according to local sources.
A similar incident occurred on Tuesday for another passenger train in Khuzestan Province, the cause of which was declared to have been the extremely hot weather that damaged the rail track.
Most parts of Khuzestan Province have experienced unprecedentedly hot temperatures of over 50 degrees Celsius in recent days.
