Tremor in SE Iran kills 1 person
Zahedan, Several earthquakes in south eastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan claimed the life of an eighteen-year-old girl on Friday.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday, Head of Sistan and Baluchestan Red Crescent Office Rasoul Rashaki said the girl was killed due to hitting stone to her head.
As a result of some quakes and aftershocks, 2 people were injured in Bazman village and were treated outpatient, he added.
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale and also several aftershocks measuring 2 and 3.4 magnitude jolted Iranshahr in Sistan, Baluchestan Province.
Iran sits on major seismological fault lines, making it one of the world's most quake-prone countries.
