Tremor jolts western Iran
Tehran, An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted Sarpol-e Zahab in western Province of Kermanshah on Wednesday.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 4:37 hours local time (0:07 GMT) in an area located at 34.43 degrees latitude and 45.97 degrees longitude at the depth of 8 km underground.
No report on possible damage to life or property has been released yet.
Kermanshah has been hit by several earthquakes since November 12, 2017, when a 7.3-magnitude earthquake hit the province's Ezgeleh region killing at least 620 people and injuring over 12,000.
