Trump’s acts not to affect Iran-KRG ties: Kurdish official

Erbil, Deputy Chairman of Iraq's Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce announced that the anti-Iran measures taken by the US President Donald Trump will have no impact on Iran-Iraqi Kurdistan economic ties.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Nozad Ghafur Rabati said that the commercial relations between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan Region are not influenced by US sanctions.

The relations have even experienced growth recently, he added.

Rabati also rejected rumors as regard closing borders between Iran and KRG, saying that it will harm Iraqi Kurdistan if US pressures affect the two sides' relations.

Iran has three official and some unofficial trade gates with Iraqi Kurdistan.
