Turkey extends condolences over Iranian plane crash
Ankara, Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences over the Iranian plane crash that claimed the lives of 66 people.
The ministry in a statement has expressed grief over the plane tragedy and extended condolence to Iranian people, government and the families of the victims.
An Iranian passenger ATR plane of Asseman Airlines hit Dena Mountains, 120 km from Semirom, Isfahan Province, early Sunday morning. The debris of the plane has not been found yet, but all 66 people onboard are feared dead in the tragic incident.
Turkey's foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in a phone call has also extended his condolence to his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday offered condolences to President Hassan Rouhani over the deadly plane crash.
