Turkey stands by Iran in fight against terror
Ankara, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Faruk Kaymakci condemned Ahvaz terrorist incident, and said that Turkey stands by Iran in fight against terror and extended condolences to Iranian people and government on the sad incident.
He told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that he hopes the terrorists to be arrested and punished.
Kaymakci expressed the hope that international circles take joint steps in fight against terrorism and show their solidarity in this concern.
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu also sent a message to his Iranian counterpart Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and expressed his sympathy with Iranian people and government for Ahvaz terrorist attack on Saturday.
He also met with Iran's Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ibrahim Taherian Fard and by condemning the terrorist incident in Ahvaz expressed his deep sorrow and sympathy with the bereaved families.
In the meeting, he discussed promotion of interactions and cooperation between Iran and Turkey, especially in the fight against terrorism, human trafficking and drug smuggling.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Saturday hours after Ahvaz incident strongly condemned terrorist attack in a statement and extended condolences on martyrdom of a number of innocent people.
A memorial book was opened in Iran's embassy in Ankara and foreign envoys and political representatives from more than 40 countries have signed the book.
In the incident 26 people were killed and 60 injured.
