Turkish Airlines to sponsor UNWTO meeting in Hamedan
Hamedan, Turkish Airlines officially undertook sponsorship of the 40th Meeting of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) slated to be held in Hamedan, northwestern Iran, in November.
A member of World Tourism Summit Hamid Reza Yari told IRNA late Thursday that the event will provide an opportunity for introducing noted world tourism brands.
Turkish Airlines seated in Ataturk Airport in Istanbul is sponsoring the event to publicize its services, he said.
Turkish Airlines is the national flag carrier of Turkey. Since 2017, it has been operating scheduled services to 302 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, making it the largest carrier in the world by the number of destinations (excluding regional brands).
Holding WTO Summit in Hamedan is an outstanding event in the field of tourism which will bring many achievements, Yari said.
Alisadr Tourism Company as a member of presiding board and one of the participants of the summit as well as the host of the 40th global meeting of UNWTO is doing all within its power to organize the event in the best manner, the official said.
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of sustainable and universally accessible tourism.
