UK calls for best use of Iran nuclear deal opportunity
Tehran- UK foreign secretary called for best use of Iran nuclear deal reached between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China plus Germany) in Vienna in July 2015.
'There are very good trade and economic opportunities in Iran,' Boris Johnson made the remarks in a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday.
He called for the best use of nuclear deal, also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), opportunities, and said that London is committed to develop all-out ties with Tehran.
The British official described the JCPOA as a positive agreement that should be extended, noting that the Iranian people should enjoy the economic benefits of the nuclear deal.
Johnson praised Iran's role in the region, and said that the Islamic Republic has made positive steps in fighting terrorism and establishment of peace and stability in the region.
Talking about the recent decision by US President Donald Trump to relocate the country's embassy from Tel-Aviv to al-Quds (Jerusalem), the official said that he does not consider the move as an appropriate measure.
