UK, Germany, France underline preserving JCPOA
London, The UK Prime Minister Theresa May in a phone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of preserving Iran nuclear deal.
Macron and Merkel in a meeting with US President Donald Trump underscored the importance of keeping the Iran deal.
The US administration has done a great deal during past year to kill Iran nuclear deal.
Trump is expected to announce his decision regarding suspending sanctions against Iran and continuing the implementation of the JCPOA on May 12.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed ten times Iran's commitment to the landmark July 2015 international deal.
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Tuesday that withdrawing from the NPT has been predicted in the treaty and the Islamic Republic of Iran will withdraw from the treaty if the other side scraps the nuclear deal.
When international agreements turn out to be impractical due to illegal acts of some countries, there will be no reason to remain committed to such international pledges by other countries, he said.
In NPT, member-countries are authorized to withdraw from the treaty in case their interests are threatened, he added.
