Ukraine stresses developing Tehran-Kiev ties
Moscow, Officials from Ukraine's government, parliament and the private sectors in the country, have separately met Iran's envoy to Ukraine Mohammad Beheshti Monfared to stress the need for furthering relations between Tehran and Kiev.
Ukrainian officials, during their meeting with Beheshti emphasized that Kiev is interested to meet its demands through engagement with Iran.
The Iranian Ambassador in his meeting with Vice Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Viktor Sheremeta reviewed developing cooperation in the agricultural sector between the two nations.
Beheshti also elaborated on how Iran and Ukraine could develop cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Holding Iran-Ukraine joint commission meetings in Tehran, privatization of laws, investment and enhancement of foreign trade were among other topics discussed by the Iranian envoy and Vice Minister Sheremeta.
In another meeting with Chairman of Iran-Ukraine parliamentary friendship group Leonid Kozachenko, Beheshti and the Ukrainian official expressed their support for developing mutual economic activities.
The two also reviewed cooperation in the fields of banking, agriculture and energy as well as holding the 7th joint economic cooperation meeting.
Meanwhile in Beheshti's meeting with Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ukrainian official expressed readiness for facilitating relations between the private sectors in the two countries.
