UN chief extends condolences over Iran’s plane crash
Tehran, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his sadness over the air accident for an Iranian plane that claimed the lives of 66 people.
'Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic airplane accident today near Yasuj, Iran, United Nations Secretary-General has extended his heartfelt condolences to the country's people and Government,' he said in a message issued by his spokesman Stephane Dujarric.
An Iranian passenger plane of Asseman Airlines hit Dena Mountains, 120 km from Semirom, Isfahan Province, early Sunday morning. The debris of the plane has not been found yet, but all 66 people onboard are feared dead in the tragic incident.
