Baghdad, The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed today, Tuesday, that 450,000 people have been forcibly displaced from the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip since May 6.UNRWA stated on the (X) platform, 'The streets of Rafah have become empty as families continue to flee in search of safety, but an immediate ceasefire has become the only hope, after nearly 1.5 million Palestinians were displaced from across the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli military operations, and we need a ceasefire now."UNRWA had previously reported that more than 150,000 pregnant women face terrible health conditions and health risks amid displacement and war in Gaza.UNRWA stressed that it is Israel's responsibility to protect it as an occupying power, and to ensure the protection of United Nations personnel and facilities at all times, in accordance with international law.The Palestinian WAFA news agency reported that a number of settler today also threw burning materials in p arts of the external square and threw stones at the agency's headquarters in occupied al-Quds, for the third time in a week.Source: National Iraqi News Agency
