US, allies not to benefit from their criminal acts

Tehran, The US and its allies will take no advantage from their criminal acts in Syria, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said.

They will make Syrian government and people more united and more resolute, Baqeri said Saturday in a phone call with Syrian Defense Minister Ali Abdullah Ayyoub.

Baqeri condemned the Western coalition’s aggression against Syrian territorial integrity.

He also appreciated brave resistance of the Syrian people and army against aggressors.

The overt and invasive aggression of the Western coalition under the pretext of the use of chemical weapons was due to the anger of the intruders and their regional supporters at the terrorists’ defeat and the significant victories of the Syrian people and army, he noted.

He went on to say that the Iranian people and armed forces will stand by Syria in fighting terrorists.

Ayyoub, for his part, said that fortunately the Western coalition’s aggression had no major damage and the Syrian air defense have intercepted considerable number of the missiles.

These aggressive acts will not affect the Resistance and the Syrian forces’ determination to continue the fight against terrorism until their withdrawal from Syria, he said.

They will continue to confront the terrorists with the cooperation of Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added.
