US attempts against Quds futile: Palestine envoy
Kuala Lumpur, The Palestinian envoy to Malaysia said the holy city of Quds will always remain the capital of Palestine, and the US cannot achieve its goals by moving its embassy to the city.
'Moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Quds will not change the reality about the occupied territories of Palestine and the Palestinians,' Anwar Al Agha told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday.
'The reality is that Quds will always remain the capital of Palestine and a building in the holy city cannot violate the Palestinians' rights by attributing the city to the Zionist aggressors,' he said.
The Palestinians and the Muslim world will not let the US President Donald Trump pursue his goals by moving an embassy to Quds, he reiterated.
'Quds is not a part of the US that Washington make decisions for it; the city belongs to the Palestinians and they will defend their right,' the diplomat said.
Today, as the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, has been designated as the International Quds Day. People in Iran and all over the world are expected to hold rallies to declare their solidarity with the Palestinians in their struggles for their lawful rights against the occupation of the Zionist regime.
