US intending to turn African coast into another Afghanistan
Tehran, The expert in African coast affairs Leslie Faren warned about the arrival of the US intelligence forces (CIA) in Nigeria, saying their presence will lead to the devastating fate of Afghanistan and Pakistan after the September 11, 2001, for Africa.
Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper wrote on Monday, According to a report from the American New York Times, the researcher of French Center for Strategic Studies and International Relations, added that America has made itself the largest military power in the region after building and equipping the drone base on the coast of Africa.
The Coast is an area on the north of the African continent drawn from the west to the Red Sea in the east, and includes countries like Mauritania, Chad, Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.
Faren stressed that the abandoned city of Dakoro 570 miles from the Niger capital, far from the French, German, and Italian overseers who have military presence in the country, has seen massive US military activity months ago, and contrary to the claims of the American authorities, based on intelligence from military sources in West African countries, US drone aircraft have repeatedly deployed military operations against Libya from their base in Niger.
These African sources said the CIA is turning the city of Dakoro to a secret prison such as Guantanamo to bring terrorists arrested in Libya there.
Faren also pointed to the strong opposition of the United States to the creation of a joint military force from five countries in the coastal region (Mauritania, Chad, Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso), which benefit from French support and the seventh chapter of the United Nations Charter. The US military base in Niger is unlawful and, unfortunately, this country takes any action today against international laws.
