USSaudiZionist triangle doomed to failure: Senior cleric

Tehran, A senior cleric slammed sanctions and the measures taken by US, Saudi and Israeli regimes against Iran and the oppressed people in the world, saying the triangle is doomed to failure.

Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said in his second Friday prayers sermon that execution of Saudi rulers' critics is a stigma for the Saudis and their supporters.

He also condemned the US act on blacklisting the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps and recalled the IRGC and the armed forces are defending the country against the enemy's invasion.

He urged the world to judge about the US act and also the countermeasure taken by Iranian parliament.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Emami Kashani accused Saudis of bombarding Yemen, saying US that claims domination on the Middle East is a criminal and terrorist.

Referring to execution of 37 critics in Saudi Arabia, he said such crimes have become clear to the world.

Alluding to US cruel sanctions against Iran, he said the US has been the enemy of Iran since the very beginning of the Islamic Revolution.

He also underlined the importance of working to compensate for the losses caused by the US sanctions.

Saudi Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that 37 Saudis were executed for the alleged link with terrorism.

The recent executions happened in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, Al Qassim and Shia residential area Eastern Province.

As per 'Amnesty International' report, some 149 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia in 2018.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world which accomplish execution by beheading.

Users of social media in Saudi Arabia said that 32 Shia Muslims from Al Qatif and Eastern province were among those who were executed.

The Saudi government convicted a large number of the opposition of heavy punishment and execution to fight freedom of expression and under the pretext of combating terrorism.

Meanwhile, Khashoggi, the Saudi veteran writer and journalist entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2, 2018 to collect paperwork for his forthcoming marriage but disappeared there.

After 18 days of silence and rejecting claims that Khashoggi was killed, the Saudi government finally bowed down to international pressure on October 20th and claimed in a statement the prominent journalist was killed in a fistfight inside Istanbul consulate.

All evidence suggests 15 Saudi agents with close ties to the crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman who were deployed to Istanbul were in charge of killing Khashoggi and dismembering his body.
