Veep: Kermanshah playing major role in exports to Iraq
Kermanshah, 's First Vice President underlined developing economic ties between Iran and Iraq, saying Kermanshah is one of the main hubs which play role in economic relations with Iraq.
Addressing Kermanshah crisis management council meeting, Eshaq Jahangiri referred to borders as opportunities for promoting Kermanshah.
Stressing the fact that Iran is after reinforcing relations with Iraq and will pave the way for exports to Iraq, he said Kermanshah will play major role in this regard.
Commenting on opening Khosravi border, Jahangiri said Iran is for opening the border and detailed negotiations have been held with Iraq's incumbent and former prime ministers.
He went on to say that Iraq is responsible for maintaining security for Iranian pilgrims.
Jahangiri together with ministers of agriculture, health, sports and youths, road and urban development and vice president for parliamentary affairs arrived in Kermanshah to visit Qarah Su River.
At least 28 provinces out of 31 have been affected by floods, and hundreds of people are now displaced.
Flood warnings have also been issued for other Iranian provinces, including Tehran, Qom, Kermanshah, Markazi, Isfahan, Khorasan.
Local officials in Tehran have assured that all capacities and forces are on high alert for any extreme situation.
It has also been predicted that extreme weather will hit Iran's various provinces at the weekend.
Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization has reported that a number of main roads were blocked due to heavy rain, snow and possible risk of avalanche, landslide, and river floods. People are warned to avoid unnecessary trips.
