World-famous Iranian poet’s bust in Cypriot capital

Ankara, The bust of Iranian epic poet Ferdowsi was installed in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Ferdowsi's bust was installed in the Museum Park of Foreign Ministry of Cyprus.

The official unveiling will be done on the future visit of Iranian Minister of Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Cyprus.

On the occasion of the day of Ferdowi's commemoration (May 15), some copies of Turkish translation of Shahnameh was given to Cypriot universities.

Ferdowsi (935 A.D.) was a Persian poet and the author of Shahnameh, which is the world's longest epic poem created by a single poet.
