Yemen targets Jizan industrial region with ballistic missile
Tehran, April 13, IRNA The missile unit of the Yemeni army and popular committees targeted Jizan industrial region in southwest Saudi Arabia with 'Badr 1' ballistic missile Thursday night, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.
The Al-Masirah TV network quoted Saudi media outlets as saying that sounds of several blasts were heard in Jizan.
On Wednesday, the Yemeni army fired a Badr 1 missiles at Malek Abdullah economic township and other targets in the southwestern Saudi province of Jizan.
In March 2015, Saudi Arabia in cooperation with some other Arab states launched a military aggression against Yemen after blockading the country from air, sea and land in a bid to return to power the deposed Yemeni president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The aggression of the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen has had no military gains for the aggressors but has brought destruction, famine and displacement of people for the impoverished country.
