Zarif back home from Moscow, Brussels
Tehran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif returned home after a two-day visit to Moscow and Brussels for talks about latest developments regarding implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal (between Iran and G5+1).
Under the nuclear deal, officially known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran received relief from nuclear-related sanctions by the US, the UN and the European Union in exchange for curbing its nuclear activities.
After a short visit to Moscow, Zarif left for Brussels for talks with foreign ministers of the European states and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
During a meeting with Zarif in Moscow on Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated Iran's full compliance with the nuclear deal, saying that IAEA has verified Iran has fulfilled its commitments under the deal.
