Zarif confers with Portuguese counterpart
New York, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Portuguese Augusto Ernesto dos Santos Silva discussed bilateral issues, economic cooperation, the JCPOA and US violation of the deal.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly which brought together heads of state and government to present their views about pressing world issues.
Zarif arrived in New York on Sunday to the accompaniment of President Hassan Rouhani to attend the 73rd high-profile session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Earlier, Zarif held talks with foreign ministers of Group 4+1 as well as counterparts from other countries.
He also participated in the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit and held talks with the P4+1 foreign ministers.
