Zarif lashes out at Israel on killing of Palestinian medic
Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message on Sunday slammed killing of a Palestinian medic in Gaza Strip by the Israeli army snipers.
In a week when Israeli regime airs an absurd message to Iranians while its US patrons veto a resolution condemning its use of deadly force against unarmed protestors, its snipers murder a Palestinian medic tending to the wounded. Shame upon shame, Zarif wrote in his Twitter account.
According to Palestinian sources, Razan Al-Najjar was shot dead by the Israeli forces in the tenth week of the March of Return protests at Gaza border.
Witnesses say she was trying to help a wounded protestor at the Gaza-Israel border fence, according to a video released by the YouTube website.
She was one of the first female medical volunteers to treat protestors at the weekly demonstrations, according to the video.
Some 121 Palestinians have so far been killed and over 13,300 others injured during the March of Return protests since March 30 in Gaza.
Chief of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Steering and Monitoring Committee Saeb Erekat earlier in a statement slammed Zionists' crimes in Gaza Strip saying, The Israeli regime deployed its army, including snipers, to attack peaceful Palestinian demonstrators, including unarmed women, men, and children. Israel is trying to make the world believe that a group of unarmed youth represents a threat to its army in order to justify its brutal attacks against Palestinian civilians.
