Zarif: Pakistan tour focuses regional security, connectivity
Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister in a message presented details of his visit to Pakistan as focusing on regional security, connectivity and complimantarity of key points.
"After visiting Iran's oceanic port of Chabahar, important talks in #Pakistan with PM @ImranKhanPTI, Army Chief Bajwa, FM @SMQureshiPTI & Speaker @AsadQaiserPTI," Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote in his Twitter account.
He added: "Focus: Regional security, growth, connectivity & complementarity of key nodal points Chabahar/Gwadar. #NeighborsFirst."
Earlier speaking to IRNA, Zarif said that the development of the Chabahar Free Trade Zone is high on the agenda of the Iranian Foreign Ministry and foreign policy.
Development of Chabahar can play a key role in the development of railway connection of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan and help bring closer together the Iranian allies, he said, adding that the Foreign Ministry will make every effort to make use of the opportunities of Chabahar.
Zarif started his tour to Pakistan on Thursday.
The trip is his third visit since Imran Khan came into power.
