Zarif warns Arabs, Muslims to be aware of US tricks
Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister in a message referred to US President Donald Trump's recent choice on Golan Heights, warning Arab and Muslim states against US tricks.
'Trump's lawless announcement on 'Occupied Syrian Golan' after last year's on 'Occupied AlQuds' is a sobering reminder for our Arab and Muslim brethren: US & Israel will offer you handshakes, but no matter how much you kowtow, they will still steal your lands. #LetUsUnite,' Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Thursday.
Trump tweeted on Thursday that after 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
On December 6, 2017, the US President Donald Trump decided to relocate the US diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds and to recognize Quds as the capital city of the Zionist regime of Israel.
Some 58 Palestinians were killed and thousands of others were injured by the Zionist troops on that day while protesting against the US relocation of embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds.
Earlier, The Lebanese Foreign Ministry in a statement condemned the US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Israel sovereignty on Golan Heights.
'The US presidential declaration on Israel's right to annex the Syrian Golan is condemnable and breaches all rules of international law, undermining any effort to reach a just peace, Lebanese media 'NNA' earlier quoted the Foreign Ministry of Lebanon as saying.
'The principle of land for peace falls...for when there is no land to be restored, no peace remains to be given,' the statement reads.
Syrian Foreign Ministry too has said that in a flagrant aggression on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, the US President has recognized the annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan to the Zionist occupation entity.
The US decision indicates US hostility against Arab world, the statement said, adding that Washington proved that it is the most important enemy of the Arab world.
