Zionist regime violated 1701 UN resolution over 13,000 times
Beirut, Former Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said the Zionist regime violated the 2006 UN Security Council's Resolution 1701 with continuing maritime, land, airspace aggressions above 13,000.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) interviewed Mansour on the pretext of recent operation by the Zionist regime called the 'Northern Shield' to explore and destroy underground border tunnels attributed to Lebanese Hezbollah.
He believes that the claim is aimed at relieving the Zionist regime of internal bottlenecks and diverting public opinion from the corruption case of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to him, the Zionist regime does not have the power to invade Lebanon because the strength of Lebanon military and its resistance has become much greater than in 2006 (33day war).
He emphasized that the Zionist enemy knows well that if it does any hostile action, it will face the decisive answer of the army and Lebanese resistance. These threats are meant to raise morale inside the occupied territories and the claims are also directed to divert public opinion from the world to say that Lebanon violates UN resolution 1701.
The former Lebanese Prime Minister added, 'All that is going on inside the Zionist regime is insignificant for Lebanon and resistance, as the equation has changed since the past. The conditions of 2018 are different from that of 2006 and before that.
The Lebanese resistance and army are in full readiness and will respond fiercely if aggression is carried out to the country.
