Iranian woman makes history in Asian Track & Field Championship

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Track and Field women athlete Nazanin Fatemeh Eidian won the gold medal at the Asian Field and Track Championship in Kuwait.

Iran’s Eidian made history for Iran in the Asian Track & Field Championship in Kuwait and claimed a gold medal and broke the record of the women’s junior 400m hurdles in Asia.

Eidian ranked first in the Asian tournament in the women’s 400m hurdles, ending in 1.01.03.

Kazakhstan and Taipei after Iran ranked second and third, respectively.

Earlier, on the first day of the 2022, the 4th Asian Field and Track Championship, in hammer throw field the Iranian team’s Melika Nowrouzi recorded 57.84-meter throw, and stood second after her Korean competitor, to win the silver medal.

Also, the Iranian team’s Mahdis Minaipour recorded 54.02-meter through, ranked 3rd and won the bronze medal.

The 2022, 4th Asian Field and Track Championship, hosted by Kuwait is being held in Kuwait City on October 13-17.
