Iran’s Interior minister asks for urgent punishment of mosque catastrophe criminals

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi in a message condoled on sad martyrdom of the defenseless victims of Sayed Abad Mosque of Kunduz city in northeast Afghanistan, asking Afghan officials for urgent punishment of the criminals and creators of the catastrophe.

In the message forwarded by Vahidi about the mosque catastrophe that led to martyrdom of about 46 worshippers while performing their prayers in Kunduz read the explosion in Sayed Ababd Mosque in Kunduz city in northeastern Afghanistan, which led to the martyrdom and injury 200 Afghan Muslims, was an inhumane and anti-religious move that according to the entire believers, freedom lovers and alert conscience of the human beings is strongly condemned, reads the interior minister’s message on the sad occasion.

“This terrorist crime that is conducted by the deviated tendencies, supported by the global oppression at the beginning of Rabi ul-Awwal (lunar) month, which is the season for the Muslims’ happiness, is a great catastrophe and cause for great grief that once again highlights the need for Islamic unity and solidarity among the entire tribes and ethnic groups in our friendly neighboring country, Afghanistan, under the supportive umbrella of an all-encompassing government capable of safeguarding the peace and security, and blocking the path for the growth of the terrorist and Takfiri groups, including the remnants of the ISIS anti-Islamic goruplet,” further read Vahidi’s message.

The suicidal attack against a Shi’a Muslims’ mosque in Kunduz led to martyrdom of 46 worshipers and severely injuring 143 others according to some reports, while the local authorities have said that the number of the dead victims is 60 and 140 people have been injured.
