KSrelief Delivers 25 Tons of Dates to WFP in Tanzania


Dodoma, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delivered 25 tons of dates to the World Food Programme (WFP) in Tanzania on Friday. This delivery took place in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Tanzania, Yahya bin Ahmed Akish, and the WFP Representative in Tanzania, Sarah Gordon-Gibson. The WFP signed a memorandum of receipt with KSrelief to prepare for distributing the shipment to beneficiaries in the refugee camp in the Kigoma region.

The Saudi ambassador highlighted that the Kingdom has implemented 6,916 humanitarian, developmental, and charitable projects in 169 countries worldwide, with a total value exceeding $108 billion. He emphasized that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, established KSrelief in 2015 to be a leading center for humanitarian aid and relief work, transmitting the Kin
gdom’s values to the world. He also noted that the WFP is a strategic partner of KSrelief.

The WFP Representative in Tanzania expressed sincere gratitude to the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, for its significant and continuous support to the humanitarian activities of the WFP worldwide. This gift is part of the programs provided by the Saudi government to several friendly countries for distribution to the most needy families in different regions around the world.
