Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced today, Wednesday, at an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russian-Iraqi diplomatic relations, the volume of his country's investments in Iraq. Lavrov said, in a speech during the exhibition: "The oil and gas industry has traditionally been the central element in our practical cooperation with the Iraqi side, and a number of major projects are now being successfully implemented with the participation of leading Russian oil companies, and the total volume of Russian investments in the Iraqi energy sector exceeds $ 19 billion."
