Western media quoted a military source as saying that two civilians were injured as a result of an Israeli aggression that targeted the city of Latakia, northwest of Syria, today, Thursday. The same source said: The Israeli enemy launched an air aggression today from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, targeting one of the points near the southeastern entrance to the city of Latakia, which resulted in the injury of two civilians and material damage to the surrounding private properties. Earlier at dawn on Thursday, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) confirmed that Latakia was being subjected to an Israeli attack, noting that the air defenses were confronting hostile targets. Syrian state television also confirmed at dawn today that "the Israeli aggression targeted the entrance to the city of Latakia," noting that the Israeli attack caused fires in the area and that firefighting teams are working to extinguish them.
