Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, announced the return of about 1,577 displaced persons who were residing in the camps (Al-Khazir, Hassan Sham, Harsham and Bahra) in Erbil Governorate to their original areas of residence in Nineveh and Anbar Governorates. Jabro praised in a statement the efforts of all parties supporting the work of the ministry and facilitating the task of ending the displacement file completely in the country. Jabro directed the ministry's cadres to "include newly returned families with financial grants, relief aid and durable goods to support stability in the areas of return," stressing at the same time that "the ministry's cadres continue to register displaced families who wish to return voluntarily in coordination with local governments, and that the coming days will witness the return of more batches to end the suffering of families in the camps.
