Iran: Acting Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ebnolreza has called for greater unity among Islamic nations to counter the Israeli regime's destabilizing actions, while highlighting the importance of enhanced defense cooperation between Iran and Turkey to bolster regional security. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ebnolreza engaged in a phone conversation with Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler on Friday. The officials reviewed recent regional developments, the ceasefire between Iran and the US, and explored ways to expand defense and security ties between Tehran and Ankara. Ebnolreza stated that Iran accepted the ceasefire to help restore regional stability, responding to requests from friendly neighboring countries. Despite this, he expressed distrust towards the United States, citing its history of not honoring commitments, and emphasized that Iran's Armed Forces remain on high alert to respond to any breach of the agreement. The acting minister also condemned the Israeli regime's ac tions in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, attributing their escalation to US support. He called for coordinated efforts among Islamic nations to prevent further regional destabilization. Ebnolreza reiterated Iran's proposal for a joint Islamic security framework, involving countries such as Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. He stressed that regional security should be managed by the countries within the region, rather than relying on foreign military forces. In response, Guler expressed support for maintaining the ceasefire and pursuing diplomatic efforts. He reaffirmed Turkey's dedication to the territorial integrity of neighboring countries and expressed readiness to enhance cooperation with Iran on issues like counterterrorism and border security. He emphasized that dialogue and regional collaboration are key to achieving lasting peace.
