Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk said on Tuesday that Costa Rica decided to open its markets before Egyptian fresh onion. He said the decision is part of the state efforts to open new markets to Egyptian agricultural exports with the aim of supporting the national economy and providing the hard currency. Head of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine Mohamed El Mansy said in a report to the minister that Costa Rica also imports from Egypt grapes, citrus, strawberry, some medical herbs and some vegetables.
