Tehran: Iran's defense industry has become a symbol of self-reliance, national dignity, and strategic capability, the commander of the Islamic Republic's Air Force stated in a message marking Defense Industry Day. Brigadier General Bahman Behmard emphasized the significant role of the defense sector in bolstering the nation's deterrence capabilities and safeguarding its interests.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Behmard highlighted that Iran's defense industry has flourished due to the relentless efforts of scientists, specialists, and industrial workers. This development underscores the country's focus on domestic expertise and scientific capabilities, reflecting a broader commitment to self-sufficiency.

Behmard praised the defense industry's contribution, noting its vital importance in maintaining Iran's independence and national strength. He acknowledged August 22, Defense Industry Day in Iran, as a celebration of national self-confidence, knowledge-driven progress, and resolute determination to uphold the nation's sovereignty.

In his message, Behmard extended his congratulations to Defense Ministry managers, researchers, specialists, and employees, expressing his hopes for their continued success under the leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
