Baghdad, National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Daniel Shapiro called on countries to withdraw their citizens and close the Syrian Al-Hol camp. The Advisory said in a statement: "Al-Araji met in his office today with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Daniel Shapiro, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski." During the meeting, the two sides discussed developing bilateral relations at the strategic level and deepening the security partnership, especially after the end of the International Coalition mission. The two sides also discussed ensuring the continuation of the war on terrorism by preventing its human, financial and media sources of funding, and calling on countries to withdraw their citizens and close the Syrian Al-Hol camp.
