Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed that the government pays great attention to the electric power file as it is one of the foundations on which economic plans and infrastructure projects in all sectors depend and to achieve a development renaissance in the country. A statement from his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting to develop immediate and future plans to address the shortage of electric power. He explained that the meeting witnessed a discussion of developing a new technical and economic vision to address the problem of the shortage in the supply of electric power in the short and long term and to develop quick solutions that would contribute to providing electricity to citizens and other vital sectors. The statement indicated that the meeting discussed the approved mechanism for providing fuel and the financing mechanism in the new economic model for electric power production projects planned by the government within its new vision in this i mportant sector.
