Babylon Investment Commission announced today that it received an investment delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt with the aim of investing in the energy sector. The head of the commission, Abdul Jalil Al-Shajri, said, "The delegation of the Advanced Renaissance Investment Group, headed by Dr. Hussein Amin from the Arab Republic of Egypt, visited the commission, expressing his company's desire to invest in Babylon Governorate. He added that during the meeting, a detailed explanation of the mechanism and requirements of the project to produce electricity at a rate of 500 megawatts through the burning of solid waste, which is expected to be established in Abu Samij area in Al-Kifl District, was given, indicating that the commission has set a time frame for the purpose of completing the requirements.
