Tehran: The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest Exhibition has kicked off in collaboration with the Mehr News Agency and the Iranian Photographers' House in Tehran. The exhibition marks the completion of its 11th competitive edition.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, approximately 2,000 works were submitted to the contest secretariat by photographers from 40 countries. Young photographers from 15 countries, including Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Spain, and Myanmar, have their works featured in this event.

The exhibition showcases a collection of visual narratives by young photographers about contemporary world events, presented in the form of news and documentary photography. The themes cover social and human developments, crises, the environment, daily life, and other global realities.

The participants' works have been judged by experts from major global media outlets and renowned, internationally awarded photographers, a tradition initiated by the Rossiya Segodnya media group. The exhibition is part of a program that includes a tour across different countries to display the selected works.

The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest Exhibition is an annual event aimed at discovering young talent, supporting professional standards in news photography, and elevating documentary photography standards in Russia and worldwide. This year's exhibition will continue until September.
