New delhi: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the United Arab Emirates of being an active collaborator in the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. Speaking during the Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the BRICS Member States held in New Delhi on May 14, Araghchi responded to allegations from an Emirati representative, asserting that the UAE played a significant role in the hostility directed at Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi highlighted that the UAE not only refrained from condemning the aggression but also actively supported it by providing military bases, airspace, and facilities to the US and Israeli forces. These actions, he claimed, facilitated intelligence sharing and other support necessary for the strikes against Iran, particularly after a brutal attack on a school in Minab, which resulted in the death of over 170 students.

Araghchi expressed regret over the UAE's stance, emphasizing that Iran views the UAE as a neighbor and brotherly nation. However, he criticized Abu Dhabi for siding with the aggressors and questioned the Emirati official's references to international law, challenging the legality of supporting unprovoked aggression.

The Iranian Foreign Minister clarified that Iran's retaliatory actions targeted American military installations in the UAE, asserting their right to self-defense. He urged the UAE to reconsider its policy towards Iran, pointing out that its territory had been used to launch attacks against his country. Araghchi also revealed that Netanyahu's visit to the UAE during the conflict further confirmed the UAE's active participation in the aggression.

He concluded by calling for a fair stance from the international community, stating that the aggression by the United States, Israel, and the UAE against Iran should be condemned.
