Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi departed Muscat for Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Friday afternoon after leading the Iranian negotiating team in nuclear talks with Washington.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi is set to attend the 17th edition of the Al Jazeera Forum, where he has been invited as a special guest. During his visit, he will deliver a speech at the forum on Saturday and hold talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar.

Speaking to Iranian national TV following the nuclear and sanctions relief talks with a US delegation in Muscat earlier on Friday, Araghchi described the discussions as "a good start." He further noted that the continuation of these talks will depend on consultations with the respective capitals.
