Tehran: Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi will visit India to participate in the BRICS summit, according to Esmail Baqaei, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Baqaei made the announcement during an interview with India Today Global. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei highlighted that Iran and India are both members of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), maintaining a good level of cooperation in these organizations. The spokesperson emphasized the significance of the simultaneous meeting for Iran, noting that Tehran anticipates bilateral meetings with other participating ministers, including India's foreign minister. In addressing concerns about US threats of a ground attack, Baqaei stated that Iran's Armed Forces are prepared for any scenario. He assured that any incursion onto Iranian soil would be met with severe repercussions.
