Islamabad: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a warning that any breach of the commitments outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States will result in consequences that the US will have to bear.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi conveyed this message during a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. During the discussion, Araghchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan's efforts, initiatives, and goodwill in facilitating the diplomatic negotiation process that culminated in the MoU. He emphasized the importance of the United States fulfilling its commitments and responsibilities, particularly in relation to ending the conflict on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

Dar, in response, welcomed the ongoing diplomatic efforts and reiterated Pakistan's support for the continuation of negotiations. He underscored the importance of these efforts in achieving positive and sustainable outcomes and expressed optimism about the success of the upcoming stages in the negotiation process.

The conversation also covered several bilateral issues, with both sides agreeing on the necessity of continuing consultations to further strengthen their relationship.
