Arbaeen Flights Wrap Up with 2,427 Trips to Najaf and Baghdad

Tehran: The CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company has announced that 2,427 flights were operated between Iranian airports and Najaf and Baghdad airports during Arbaeen. These flights were carried out to facilitate the passage of Iranian pilgrims, with full coordination with domestic flights, Morteza Dehghan said on Tuesday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, from July 22 to August 7, a total of 812 flights were operated from Iranian airports to Najaf and Baghdad and vice versa. Over 115,333 Iranian pilgrims traveled to Iraq by air during this period, highlighting the significant efforts made to ensure smooth transportation for the religious event.

Additionally, from July 16 to August 7, 1,056 flights were operated from Imam Khomeini International Airport. Through this airport, 153,119 Iranian pilgrims were dispatched to Najaf and Baghdad airports, emphasizing the critical role of Imam Khomeini International Airport in managing the high volume of travelers during Arbaeen.
