The Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) has participated in a workshop on promoting volunteerism with a unified approach, which tackles programs to attract and integrate volunteers for each national association or body. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Jeddah organized the event in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). The workshop aimed to come up with a comprehensive and unified procedural guide, and develop training content on par with international principle of volunteerism. The workshop is an opportunity to take advantage of the experience of national associations and bodies in the region, thus contributing to improving the level of volunteer work.
