Armenian PM Officially Welcomes President Pezeshkian in Yerevan

Yerevan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has officially welcomed President Masoud Pezeshkian at the presidential palace in the capital, Yerevan. Pashinyan extended the welcome on Tuesday morning, following Pezeshkian’s arrival in Armenia on an official visit invited by the Armenian prime minister.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the visit will feature talks between the two leaders, followed by the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements. Accompanying President Pezeshkian on this trip are Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Reza Salehi Amiri, and Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Mohammad Atabak, among others.

On the initial day of his visit, President Pezeshkian engaged with Iranian scholars and residents in Armenia. He also participated in a joint meeting with economic representatives from both countries, aiming to enhance trade and investment. Before departing Tehran, Pezeshkian highlighted the visit’s objective of strengthening cooperation with neighboring nations, aligning with Iran’s foreign policy goals of regional stability and mutual benefit.
