Tehran: Chief Commander of the Iranian Army has urged a massive turnout for the funeral procession for Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declaring that the Iranian nation will never surrender and will stand firm until the very end.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Major General Amir Hatami, in a message on Thursday, called on the nation to renew their allegiance to the martyred Leader and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. He emphasized that while enemies believed assassinating the Leader would thrash Iran's resolve and crush the spirit of resistance, they completely failed, instead facing a more unified and determined nation than ever before.

This presence sends a clear message to the enemies and reminds global arrogance that the path of that martyred Leader and commander will continue with strength through the iron will of the Iranian nation and under the wise leadership of his worthy successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Army chief said.

A farewell ceremony for the late Ayatollah Khamenei is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran. A funeral procession will take place in the capital city, Tehran, on Monday, July 6.

A procession will follow in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, July 7, and a final procession will be held in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday, July 9. Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest at the sacred shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was martyred on February 28, in a deliberate terrorist attack carried out by the US and Israeli regime enemies.
