Army Drones Hit US Bases in Jordan, Bahrain in Latest Phase of Operation Thunder

Tehran: Iran's Army says it launched a new wave of drone strikes against US military facilities in Jordan and Bahrain early Wednesday as part of the 22nd phase of its ongoing Operation Thunder.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the latest attacks targeted the US military's Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan, where drones struck accommodation and welfare buildings as well as equipment storage facilities. The statement added that Iran's Army also deployed Arash drones against Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. It said the strikes targeted equipment warehouses, large storage hangars, and maintenance shelters used for heavy military aircraft.

The Army dedicated the latest phase of the operation to 'the heroic and resilient people of southern Iran.' It also stressed that its forces, 'backed by the support of the dear people and renewing their pledge to the exalted spirit of the Imam and their martyred commander, will stand firm and steadfast until final victory.'

The US military has conducted ongoing waves of deadly air raids on Iran for ten consecutive nights, targeting civilian sites in blatant war crimes. In response, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out heavy retaliatory attacks against strategic American targets across West Asia.
