Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour asserted the importance of promoting cooperation between Egypt and Qatar in various domains, lauding bilateral ties. He made the remarks during a meeting with Qatari Ambassador in Cairo Tariq Ali Faraj Al-Ansari on means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research. Ashour reviewed the efforts exerted to boost university education quality, thus improving global ranking of Egyptian universities. He highlighted the role of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank in promoting scientific research, adding that the bank has largely contributed to attaining the goals of the higher education strategy in Egypt. For his part, the Qatari ambassador lauded development of bilateral ties in various domains, stressing his country's keenness on furthering cooperation with Egypt, especially in the field of higher education and scientific research.
