Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has highlighted the resilience and unity of the Iranian people in the face of recent aggression from Israel and the United States. Speaking during a meeting with the judiciary in Tehran, he emphasized the importance of preserving this national solidarity that has thwarted the objectives of the aggressors.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei praised the collective stance of Iranians, regardless of their religious or political differences, which fostered a significant sense of national unity. He urged all societal segments, including journalists, government officials, and clerics, to continue safeguarding this unity and to avoid disputes over trivial matters.
Ayatollah Khamenei further emphasized the necessity of dispelling misconceptions and handling criticisms tactfully to prevent national harm. He lauded the Iranian populace for their resolve during the 12-day conflict initiated by Israel on June 13, with the U.S. joining on June 22. This period saw the U.S. targeting Iranian nuclear sites, prompting Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on an American base in Qatar, which he described as a critical blow to U.S. strategic assets in the region.
The Leader highlighted the impact of Iran’s military response, noting that it compelled the Israeli regime to seek U.S. assistance, demonstrating its inability to counter the Islamic Republic independently. Ayatollah Khamenei remarked on the miscalculations of the aggressors, who anticipated internal unrest in Iran post-attacks, only to be met with unified national resilience.
He concluded by asserting that Iran’s strength lies in its national morale and determination, which are crucial for achieving its objectives. Ayatollah Khamenei reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to engage in any arena, whether diplomatic or military, with full preparedness and capability.
